The contract we form with you
Orders are accepted and promises given conditionally upon our being able
to receive the necessary materials and without responsibility for delays
arising through rises and uncertainties of manufacture, strikes, accidents
or other causes beyond our control.
Your credit/debit card will not be charged until the goods are dispatched.
We only charge for goods as they are dispatched.
We reserve the right to decline or refuse orders.
By submitting an order you must agree that the information you provide is
true and accurate and that card details are in your name.
Although we aim to fulfill every order we receive immediately, on occasion
some sizes or colours may not be in stock or we may not be able to fulfill
your order due to an unexpectedly high demand. If we can't fulfill your
order immediately, we will tell you and keep you updated with the status of
your order until it is completed. If you pay by cheque, these must be cashed
up front and a refund issued if required.
James Inglis aims to deliver Standard Delivery parcels within 5 working
days, Next Day Delivery parcels next working day and EU & Non-EU parcels
within 14 working days.
Prices & Payment
Your credit/debit card will not be charged until goods are dispatched.
Only goods being dispatched are charged.
Payment details are stored on a PCI Level 1 secure server by our payment
provider and accessed through a secure token system.
Orders paid for by cheque will be cashed up front and a refund issued if

all orders from the UK or EU. We do not charge VAT on goods dispatched to
the Channel Islands or outside the EU.
All prices are subject to change. However, you will be informed of any
changes prior to completion of your order.
James Inglis reserve the right to revise the price up or cancel an order
if an obvious mis-pricing has occurred.

Goods may be returned within 28 days of receipt, 14 days for sale goods, provided they are unworn,
undamaged and returned in the original packaging.
We reserve the right to charge a £10 fee on goods returned without
boxes or in boxes returned damaged.
Goods may be returned using our hassle-free returns service within the UK.
The subsidised returns label provided can be used or you may return the goods using an alternative method. If using another method for return we strongly recommend you take adequate insurance. We cannot refund goods that are not received back to our warehouse.
Goods returned using our returns label will have a £2.95 per pair
charge deducted from your refund to cover the cost of your return.
Goods ordered in exchange will not incur a return charge or further
delivery charge. Excludes already exchanged goods or where a
promotion/reduced price has been applied.
The customer bears the cost of returning goods purchased from our Fitting
Studio and no returns label is provided. Fitting Studio purchases can be
returned within 14 days of purchase for an exchange or refund.
Photography & Technical Information
All care and attention is given to ensure that technical information and
advice is accurate but the seller does not warrant the accuracy thereof and
the customer relies on the same at their own risk.
Photographs are produced to represent the colour of our products as
accurately as possibel. However, due to limitations of photography and the
differences in monitor colour and resolution a guarantee of correct colour
match cannot be made.
Heel heights are measured using the inside heel measurement and are an

If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you
can return it for an exchange or full refund of the purchase price, less the
cost of return where our returns service has been used within 28 days of
All our footwear is covered by a 12 month warranty from the
date of purchase. Any goods which exhibit a manufacturing fault within 12
months of purchase will be replaced or refunded in full. For manufacturing
faults that develop after 12 months of purchase we will assess and deal with
each case on its own merit. Goods may be returned to customers, refunded or
exchanged at the discretion of James Inglis.
Sizes & Widths
Our footwear is sourced from a variety of countries including, but not
limited to: USA, Italy, UK and Spain. All our goods are stamped with the
corresponding size and width from the country where they are sourced. All
goods sold by James Inglis are in UK sizes and widths. James Inglis
typically converts the sizing of all American sourced goods by taking the
stamped size 2 sizes down inside the shoes. However, James Inglis reserves
the right to convert the sizing of imported shoes by more or less than 2
sizes if we feel appropriate to provide a more accurate fit.
Widths are converted as follows: S to AAA, N to AA, M to B, W to D, WW to
E unless otherwise stated.

Cancellation of your order
You may request cancellation of your order at any time up to the point we
prepare your order for dispatch - you can do this by telephone on +44 (0)330
121 1111 or by emailing us. Please ensure you provide us with your name,
address including postcode, the product ordered and your order number.
Cancellation of contract
As an EU customer you may cancel your contract after receiving your goods
by sending your written notification to us at: James Inglis, Regent House,
Cavalry Park, Peebles, EH45 9BU or email email@example.com.
Your notification must specify that you wish to cancel the entire order under
the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
We will refund your original order in full, including any postage paid, within
14 days of the entire order being back in our possession or (if earlier) evidence
being provided confirming the order has been returned.
You are responsible for any shipping costs and insurance; our subsidised
returns service cannot be used. Should we incur any shipping costs in the
return of any items these costs will be deducted from the refund.
We cannot accept responsibility for goods that are lost or damaged in transit.
